As soon as I heard Happy on the radio in the car driving to work I was hooked. I found it on a streaming site and played it on repeat over and over again. The sentiment was perfect. The mantra epically positive. Right up my street. It just turned out to be the right tempo to Drum & Bass up. Once made, I was invited by the legendary Marc Mitchel up to his studio to polish it up. It went up on Soundcloud and became an instant hit. The copyright police soon took it down and Makoto’s official remix version ended up being the one most remembered.
